Compliance Reports

In compliance with the conditions of the Environmental Authorisations which are granted by the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) and the Water Use Licences which are granted by the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), all authorised projects must be audited by an independent Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to provide external assurance of compliance. Infrastructure projects that do not require Environmental Authorisation / Water Use Licences are audited, against the Environmental Management Programmes, by uMngeni-uThukela Water’s internal Environmental Officers to ensure that disturbances to natural environment are minimised.
